    U4GM FH6 Guide: How to Tune Every Car Setting

    Most players don't ruin a tune in Forza Horizon 6 because they're clueless; they ruin it because they change five things at once and then can't tell what worked. Start simple. Pick the car, open the Cars tab, go into tuning, and only touch what the installed parts allow. Race suspension, adjustable aero, race diffs, and similar upgrades unlock the good stuff. If you're building several test cars or swapping parts often, having enough FH6 Credits makes that experimenting a lot less painful. The trick is to drive the car after every small change. If the front washes wide, that's understeer. If the rear steps out, that's oversteer. Everything you tune is really just a way of asking the tyres to behave differently.

    Start With Tyres and Gearing


    Tyre pressure is the first place I'd look, because you can feel it within one corner. Lower pressure gives more grip and a calmer car, though go too low and it can feel lazy. Higher pressure makes the steering bite quicker, but grip drops off. Road cars often sit nicely in the mid-20 PSI range, while slicks can handle a little more. Heavy cars usually need help here, so don't chase sharp response at the cost of traction. Gearing is just as easy to understand. A shorter final drive gets the car moving harder out of bends. A longer one helps on big straights. A decent rule is simple: make the car hit the top of its revs near the end of the longest straight, not halfway down it.

    Alignment Makes the Car Speak


    Alignment looks boring until you realise how much it changes the car. Negative camber helps the tyre stay flatter in corners, so grip improves when the car leans. Too much, though, and braking gets worse, plus the car feels weaker in a straight line. For beginners, somewhere from 0 degrees to about -1.5 degrees is a sensible place to play. Toe is more sensitive. A tiny bit of front toe-out can make the car turn in better, while rear toe-in can calm the back end down. Don't make huge moves here. Caster affects steering weight and stability. Around 6.5 to 7 degrees works for many road builds, though lighter cars and off-road machines may prefer less.

    Suspension, Roll Bars, and Brakes


    Anti-roll bars are brilliant for fixing balance quickly. If the front bar is too stiff, the nose gives up and the car pushes wide. Soften it and the front often bites better. At the rear, a stiffer bar can help the car rotate, but if it starts snapping sideways, soften it back down. Springs deal with weight transfer. Softer springs help grip and comfort, especially off-road. Stiffer springs make the car respond faster, but too much stiffness makes it nervous. Damping controls the speed of that movement. If the car bounces after bumps, damping may be too soft. If it skips over kerbs, it's probably too stiff. Brakes are simpler: more front bias is safer, more rear bias helps rotation, and pressure should be lowered if the wheels lock too easily.

    Aero and Differential Tuning


    Aero matters more as speed rises. More downforce keeps the car planted in fast corners, but it drags down top speed. Less downforce is better for highway pulls, though the car may feel floaty through quick bends. Differential tuning is where power delivery gets shaped. Higher acceleration lock gives stronger drive, but on RWD cars it can make the rear lively. FWD cars often like high acceleration lock because it helps pull them out of corners. AWD cars need front, rear, and centre settings balanced together. If the car pushes wide on throttle, reduce acceleration lock. If it feels messy when lifting off, add a little deceleration lock. Once you know what each change does, it's easier to build, test, and even buy cheap FH6 Credits for new projects without wasting time on random guesses.
